Family Joy International (FJI) has strengthened its commitment to digital safety advocacy with a special appreciation visit to the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) located in Abuja. The visit underscored FJI’s mission to support national efforts aimed at combating cybercrime and protecting young people from emerging online threats.

During the visit, the FJI delegation presented two high-level recognitions to top security leaders championing Nigeria’s fight against cybercrime.

🏆 Leadership Award — IGP Kayode Egbetokun, PhD, NPM

This award honours the Inspector General of Police for his visionary leadership, strategic reforms, and unwavering commitment to strengthening modern policing and enhancing Nigeria’s cybercrime response capabilities.

🏆 Icon Award — CP Uche Ifeanyi Henry

Director, NPF National Cybercrime Centre.
This recognition celebrates his exceptional contributions as a digital security expert, dedicated to safeguarding Nigeria’s digital infrastructure, combating cybercriminals, and boosting national cyber resilience through innovative enforcement strategies.


Deepening Collaboration for a Safer Digital Environment

FJI expressed profound appreciation to the NPF-NCCC for their continuous collaboration in advancing:

  • Cyber safety education for young Nigerians
  • Community-based digital hygiene campaigns
  • Prevention-focused youth empowerment programs
  • Awareness on cyber risks such as online fraud, identity theft, and cyberbullying

In response, the NPF-NCCC leadership reaffirmed their readiness to partner more closely with civil society organisations like Family Joy International. They emphasised the importance of joint efforts in protecting communities—especially vulnerable youths—from the rising dangers of cybercrime.
