October is recognized globally as Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and Family Joy International Empowerment Initiatives is proud to be at the forefront of the movement in Nigeria. This year, in strategic collaboration with the African University of Science and Technology (AUST), we are set to host the 2025 Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign, themed:
“Building a Safer Digital Future: Empowering Youths & Women in Cybersecurity.”
Why Cybersecurity Awareness?
Cybercrime has become a global challenge, with Nigeria ranking among the most affected countries in Africa. From online fraud to identity theft, the dangers of a poorly secured digital world cannot be ignored. By taking the campaign to young people and women, we aim to:
- Educate the public on safe digital practices.
- Empower youths and women with skills to thrive in cybersecurity.
- Promote a culture of responsibility in the digital space.
